Upgradation
Anyone tried using electric water pump instead of mechanical pump in sambar? It is just a curiosity in me? I am not sure how far it would be adaptable!
I don't have idea about it. I feel it is not needed because Sambar water pumps are readily available.
An electric water pump in my opinion will be more efficient and in tune with the engine's specific cooling needs. Electric pumps will typically flow two to three times as much as a mechanical pump at idle RPM as electric pump delivers a constant flow rate, while mechanical pump scales with engine speed. So, I guess it's a good idea to change mechanical water pump to electric pump for better efficiency.
There is no point in changing or using mechanical pump since it won't be as efficient as electric pump.
