Remove engine of Japanese mini truck

I have been experiencing some technical problems with the engine of my Suzuki Carry and was thinking that maybe changing the engine would fix some of these problems. Do you guys think that having an engine swap will help deal with these issues? When does someone really know that they need to have an engine swap?
