Odometer stuck

My odometer on my Subaru Sambar is stuck at 42,999 and won't click over to 43,000. I do not have any idea on what could have gone wrong. I am wondering if anybody has any suggestions to how I can fix this.

Best idea would be to try reversing for 1 km and check if it is running properly.

Assuming that your odometer is working properly, the problem might just be a tooth broken off the odo gears. If that's the case, you may be able to open it up and roll it forward manually with a finger or screw driver. It certainly is a temporary solution and may work until it rolls back again to the broken tooth, which could happen in another 10,000 kms.

You can try doing it manually and check if that works out.
