Yes in most of the Japanese vehicles, when you push the button down on the doors and after you close the last door you hold up on the handle as its closed and it will stay locked.

Normal procedure for locking the car door without a key is first open the door, pull the outside handle, flip the lock tab to the locked position and let go of the handle. Then close the door.
