How to check oil level?

Where should I check the gear oil in the transmission? I can't find a plug for where you can check the oil level?

You will find a plug on the driver side of the transmission with a square inset  Using standard gear oil of 85 weight to fill transmissions would be fine.

There is a plug with a square insert on the driver side of the transmission. A 3/8 socket extension should be used to remove the plug. Do not strip the plug during the process. Once you remove this remove the plug in the rear of the transfer case also. Your transmission and transfer case are connected so when you put fluid into the transmission you are filling the transfer case also. Use standard gear oil 85 weight to fill transmissions and differentials.

In the Suzuki Carry model, the plug is placed on the driver side of the transmission with a square inset. After checking the levels, close the plug properly to avoid over-spillage of oil as the oil expands when it gets heated during operation.

If your vehicle has front-wheel drive, the transmission fluid dipstick is sticking out of the transaxle. To check fluid, Pull out the dipstick. With the engine on and the gearshift in Neutral or Park and the parking brake on, let your engine run. Be sure the engine is warm when you pull out the dipstick. Do not turn off the engine. Check the fluid. Wipe the dipstick with a clean, lint-free rag; then reinsert it and pull it out again. If the transmission fluid is clear but doesn’t reach the “Full” line on the dipstick, use a funnel to pour just enough transmission fluid down the dipstick tube to reach the line. Do not overfill.

Standard gear oil 85 weight will be fine to fill tranmissions.
