Daihatsu Hijet van or truck

Hi, why do people prefer Daihatsu Hijet van over Truck? Is there any major reason?

i have been using the Kei Daihatsu Hijet truck and have noticed that the biggest flaw is the long drive on the highway but if you plan accordingly a Kei van of your choice can be a great daily driver.
