Yes indeed, some people do install body lifts to raise the body so there is no change in the distance between the bottom of your vehicle and the ground. A suspension lift on the other hand raises the frame of the vehicle (minus the axle and differential or lower control arms) so a 3 inch suspension lift nets you 3 inches of ground clearance. Body lift shouldn't affect your ride quality or truck handling.
