1999 Mazda B4000 - 63k Miles - Oil Temp gauge shows in middle of gauge even when truck is completely cold.

Any ideas on what's going on? Google isn't seeming too helpful but I'm probably using the wrong keywords.
Also - my Coolant temp never really gets to 50% - but google shows that this is pretty normal - right?
